  • April 1 to May 1, for bulb displays
  • May 15 to July 4th (approx) for highest color. If we have a kinder summer, it may be a bit longer before we start to "burn".
  • September to EARLY October for Fall Meadow displays and grasses.

Plant Data

The identification of plants of the Bible is a difficult task and one on which authorities occasionally disagree. In creating the gardens, our primary references have been Plants of the Bible by Harold N. and Alma L. Moldenke; and Planting a Bible Garden by F. Nigel Hepper. In certain instances where plants of the exact genus were either not available or would not survive, we have used available species or cultivars of the same genus.
